Krigler Perfumery

Krigler is a 5th generation perfume house that was established in 1904. It is a beautiful, exclusive and dainty store, tucked away in the corner of the Plaza Hotel. Their decadent scents charmed luminaries such as Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, JFK and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

There is no need to be intimidated by its prestigious location or glamorous history. The staff is incredibly helpful and go out of their way to ensure you have chosen the perfect fragrance. Given the cost of mediocre celebrity endorsed perfumes, Krigler prices are not as exorbitant as you may suspect. My bottle of Chateau Krigler 12 (aka the scent adorned by Grace Kelly at the 1955 Academy Awards) was $125. A small price to pay for luxury.

I highly recommend treating yourself or a loved one to this positively perfect perfume experience.

Greenwich Letterpress

Life is too short to send ugly cards. If you’re like me and find yourself cringing over bad stationery and silently judge people who send musical e-cards, Greenwich Letterpress is the place for you. Don’t be fooled by its petite size, this gorgeous stationery store is true gem, and before you know it you’ll be addicted.

There are no contrived hallmark cards in sight, just quirky, sweet and beautifully styled cards that you’ll be sad to part with. Not only does Greenwich Letterpress design their own stationery line, they also design custom personalized letterpress stationary. I find it refreshing to know amidst the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, two sisters are still embracing such a lovely and vintage art form.
