Momofuku Milk Bar

Momofuku Milk Bar is a standing room only bakery in the East Village. Some people frequent this little gem for freshly made cookies, others enjoy a glass of cereal milk, yet I only go here for one reason – the crack pie.

Crack pie doesn’t have a filling that cracks, nor does it have a base that cracks. Its curious title is merely a subtle warning that this delicious sweet tasting pie is highly addictive and you’ll be craving a slice everyday. The key ingredient to this sensational creation is sugar, so it’s no surprise that Momofuku’s crack pie is a food experience you will never forget.

Billy’s Bakery

Billy’s Bakery is without question, the most delicious and charming bakery in New York City. Located on Chelsea’s lovely 9th Avenue, Billy’s cupcakes are my all time favorite.

The bakery embraces the beauty and simplicity of vintage nostalgia, perfectly reflected in both their recipes and decor. The vintage wallpaper delightfully compliments the dainty cake stands that showcase their delectable creations. Billy’s cupcakes are baked and frosted to perfection, and I am unashamedly addicted.

Whether the sweet bakery smells remind you of your Grandmas kitchen, or you are enticed by the picture perfect sight of bakers frosting cakes in the shop window, Billy’s Bakery is totally irresistible.

(It would be a real shame not to order one of Billy’s amazing ‘Pumpkin Whoopie Pies’, not to mention their Yellow Daisy, Red Velvet and Banana Cupcakes)

Eleni’s

Eleni’s is an exquisite cupcake store located in the fabulously delicious Chelsea Market.

Chelsea Market is a food lovers dream. Housing a plethora of incredible restaurants and food stores, the chic undercover market has something to please every palate. For sweets, I always run as fast as I can to Eleni’s.

Eleni’s specialize in amazing cupcakes and quirky cookies. I love this cupcake boutique because their frosting is perfectly sweet but not too heavy and their cupcakes are always fresh and fluffy. One of their most popular cupcakes is raspberry, so be sure to try it.

If you are visiting the city and want a fun gift to take home for friends, Eleni’s also sell cute New York themed cookies. Their cookies are a welcomed changed from the standard NYC souvenirs that are sold in Midtown.

Eleni’s is sweet and lovely, the staff are always smiling and you will definitely be smiling once you taste these divine cupcakes.

Crosby Street Hotel

The Crosby Street Hotel has a delicious secret hidden behind its cobblestone street exterior. They are one of the few hotels in Manhattan that serve high tea!

The menu is fabulous anytime of day, but I personally recommend making a reservation for afternoon tea to enjoy the decadent cakes, scones, tarts, sandwiches and gorgeous tea sets. Much like the artistic and quirky hotel decor, high tea is served with a modern twist that is sure to impress. And unlike traditional high tea venues, the Crosby is not overtly feminine so it can be enjoyed by even the most critical male.

The servings are very generous, so unless you are feeling particularly hungry for delightful sweets, I suggest sharing tea platter with a friend. And because your personal tea pot is constantly refilled, you never have to worry about a shortage of tea.

The Crosby is the perfect example of relaxed glamour. It is by no means pretentious, yet it epitomizes the gorgeous, stylish and unique venues that New York has to offer.
